Dog Sessions

Capturing the cute, the curious and the completely crazy!

Our pets are often just as important as members of the family, and we can probably all admit that we are a little bit obsessed with taking photos of them! But I think we can all agree there is nothing better than a high quality, professional photo to truly cherish our furry companions.

My Experience

My experience of photographing animals started off when I was a teenager, galivanting through the fields next to my home capturing photos of the livestock such as sheep, lambs, Shetland ponies and Belted Galloways. After I had well and truly photographed nearly every animal in the vicinity of my home (more than once!), I moved onto wildlife photography. I began taking photos of squirrels and small birds and then moved onto bigger animals such as deer, foxes and birds of prey. These were trickier and required A LOT of patience, and sometimes a chilly 5am walk up a mountain, to get the perfect shot.

In between the galivants and the early morning hikes, I have had some of the most obedient models (and some of the most mischievous) in the form of dogs, pygymy goats, horses and cats. My own pets have also fallen victim to the never-ending photoshoots!

At the moment, I am mainly specialising in dog photoshoots but if you have an enquiry about another kind of pet, please get it touch and I will get back to you as quick as I can.

A Typical Session

A typical session lasts up to an hour! You can choose from one of the 2 locations below or if these don't work for you then we can brainstorm some alternative locations that will work for both of us. Following your booking, you will receive a questionnaire to fill out and an email about what to expect. This will help the session run more smoothly and give me an idea of the kind of shots you're looking for.

Session Fee and Package Prices

A £150 session fee is required within 72hr of booking to confirm your session (session fees may vary for locations outside of Dumfries and Galloway). Please be aware that if this fee is not paid within 72hr of booking then the session will be given to another client. Please note that this fee is not a deposit and is non-refundable - the session fee covers fuel costs and my time used to design and shoot your session.

Following the session, you can preview your gallery online and choose which photos and package you would like. Payment of your chosen package is required within 72hr of receiving the preview to enable me to go ahead with the full editing process. The package price is an additional and separate payment to the session fee - this way, you are able to view the photos before making a decision on which package you would like to receive. The final gallery will be sent to you within 1 month and will be available for download for 14 days.

If you have any questions about pricing, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
